motion'sNavarro ParkerFUI Scholarship Award

Last year the motion community lost someone near and dear to our hearts – Navarro Parker. We first met Navarro as a motion attendee over 10 years ago. We followed his journey as he built a career in Kansas as a motion designer, ultimately moving to LA to make his mark in the world of FUI.

Navarro’s work includes: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Minority Report, Ant-Man, Tomorrowland, Robocop, Ender’s Game and many more.

To celebrate Navarro’s life and to honor his work, each year motion will offer a scholarship to one promising FUI up-and-comer: The Navarro Parker FUI Scholarship Award.

This year, the recipient will receive:
– a complimentary pass to attend motion 2018
– 8-hours of experiential one-on-ones with FUI superheroes Jayse Hansen, Mark Coleran, John LePore and Robyn Haddow

Potential candidates should:
– have a strong passion to pursue a career in FUI
– provide links to three (3) examples of work that best represents their FUI skills
– write a short paragraph expressing their FUI ambitions

Since this scholarship is designed for up-and-comers in the industry, creatives who are currently working in FUI or who have in the past, are ineligible.
