Christopher Webb is a cinematographer and technical director who specializes in in-camera FX. His work includes commercials, titles sequences, and experimental films for Apple, BMW, Coke, TED, and Showtime. He collaborated with Loyal Kaspar on the Emmy and ProMaxBDA award-winning promotional campaign for CNN’s “The Seventies”.
Chris’s studio, FX WRX, is a laboratory for the exploration and discovery of moving images. It is a place where he develops new methods to better serve ongoing collaborations with creative directors and designers from studios including mOcean, Trollbäck+Company, The Mill, Imaginary Forces, and MPC.
A background in visual arts and engineering informs Chris’s creative process. He has worked as a special effects artist, stop-motion animator, sculptor, animatronic puppet builder, and mechanical engineer. This helps him to find the best process for each project. He supports his collaborators in the shared goal of not only realizing their creative vision, but bringing it to life in new and unexpected ways.
